Step 1 - Body Repair

Don't worry about those small dents and scratches on your vehicle's paint job.

As part of our MAACOVER, our trusted body repair technicians will eliminate any dents or dings through our special Five-Step Process. We'll make sure your paint job is free of any imperfections.

Step 2 - Surface Preparation

What's the importance of surface repair? You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. Repairing such issues will help your vehicle receive the smoothest finish and highest possible gloss.

At Maaco of Humble, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come.

Step 3 - Surface Sealer

You may have noticed that some paint jobs just can't seem to hold their shine. This may be from the uneven color and gloss that sometimes comes from mixing old and new paint. Sealer performs the important task of providing a barrier between old and new paint.This allows for even color application and more gloss throughout the paint job.

Maaco of Humble offers three different grades of sealer. The choice of which grade of sealer to use depends on desired durability and the amount of prep work your vehicle needs. Sealer will help your vehicle keep a shiny finish long after the paint job is done.

Step 4 - Paint Services

The three different paint packages that Maaco of Humble offers are the Basic, Preferred and Premium packages. Each is tailored to your vehicle's specific needs and your budget. Each service is unique in their degree of longevity and appearance. Longevity of the paint includes warranty/durability and appearance includes gloss, color match and metallic appearance.

Paint Services

Basic #MAACOVER

A single-stage enamel paint is applied to refresh the appearance of your vehicle. The basic package also includes a one-year warranty. This service will give your vehicle an attractive glossy finish and accurate color match.

Preferred #MAACOVER

Looking for greater durability, but need to stay at an affordable price?

Our Preferred service is your best bet and comes with a three-year warranty. This single-stage application uses urethane, which resists chipping and is much more resilient than enamel finishes.

Premium #MAACOVER

Our two-stage Premium service offers the best look and performance of our three paint packages. It includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of durability, superb color match and a perfect glossy finish.

Platinum #Maacover

If you're in need of a variety of services, our platinum package bundles several excellent repairs that provide an excellent paint job. This package includes light chip and scratch repairs, an initial prep with priming and block sanding and a urethane sealer. It also comes with a five-year warranty that protects against gloss fading or peeling.

Step 5 - Protection & Finish

A new paint job warrants proper protection. At Maaco, clear coats are often applied after painting to protect the paint. This final step also ensures an accurate gloss match and provides a seamless repair.

Step 6 - Proper Car Care

Proper car care can have a major impact on the durability and appearance of your new paint. The right maintenance can help your car hold its color and shine, as well as provide protection from the elements.

When possible, try to:

  • Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
  • Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
  • Wash your car regularly.

WASHING:

Washing your car is a great way to remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs. It's recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to avoid scratching the surface of the paint.

Be sure to use this as an opportunity to rinse the undercarriage of your car to remove dirt, salt or other chemicals that promote rust.

WAXING:

Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you wax your car every 3-4 months to protect your new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax, like Mothers, that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.

Apply a thin coat of wax using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions apply it to the entire car. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Using a terry cloth towel, apply firm pressure to wipe the wax off using the same short, circular motion.
