Auto Painting in Lawnside, NJ
Step 1 - Body Repair
Don't worry about those small dents and scratches on your vehicle's paint job.
As part of our MAACOVER, our trusted body repair technicians will eliminate any dents or dings through our special Five-Step Process. We'll make sure your paint job is free of any imperfections.
Step 2 - Surface Preparation
What's the importance of surface repair? You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. Repairing such issues will help your vehicle receive the smoothest finish and highest possible gloss.
At Maaco of Lawnside, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come.
Step 3 - Surface Sealer
Some paint jobs fail to hold their shine, even if it hasn't been that long since they were completed. This may be because of the reaction between old and new paint mixing, which can result in uneven color and gloss. To establish a barrier between the old and new paint, Maaco painters will apply sealer.
We offer three grades of sealer at Maaco of Lawnside. The correct choice factors in durability and the amount of prep work needed for your individual vehicle. Sealers helps keep consistent shine long after the job is complete.
Step 4 - Paint Services
At Maaco of Lawnside, we offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.
A single-stage enamel paint is applied to refresh the appearance of your vehicle. The basic package also includes a one-year warranty. This service will give your vehicle an attractive glossy finish and accurate color match.
Looking for greater durability, but need to stay at an affordable price?
Our Preferred service is your best bet and comes with a three-year warranty. This single-stage application uses urethane, which resists chipping and is much more resilient than enamel finishes.
When it comes to the best look and performance, there is no topping our two-stage Premium service. Complete with a five-year warranty, this service offers the highest level of durability, best possible glossy finish and superb color match that you will want to show off for years.
Step 5 - Protection & Finish
A great paint job deserves great protection. We often apply clear coats to our paint jobs to not only protect the paint, but to ensure an accurate gloss match and an overall seamless repair.
Step 6 - Proper Car Care
Taking the proper car care steps can have a major impact on the durability and appearance a new paint job. Proper maintenance will help your car maintain its color and shine and provide protection from the elements.
Use these tips to protect your new paint job:
- Wash your car regularly;
- Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
- Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel.
Make sure to wash your car regularly to remove unwanted contaminants that can damage your finish such as bird droppings, tree sap or bugs. We recommend hand washing your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean to avoid scratching the surface of the paint.
Also use this as an opportunity to rinse the underside of your car to remove impurities that can lead to rusting.
After your paint job is completed, we recommend that you wax your car every 3-4 months to protect your new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax that does not contain abrasive cleaning ingredients like silicone. We recommend Mothers brand wax.
When applying the wax, administer a thin coat of wax using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions. Let the wax to dry completely before removing it. Using a terry cloth towel, apply firm pressure to wipe the wax off using a similar short, circular motion.
