Auto Painting in Keyport, NJ
Step 1 - Body Repair
Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job?
No need to worry. As part of your vehicle's MAACOVER, our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches.
Step 2 - Surface Preparation
What's the importance of surface repair? You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. Repairing such issues will help your vehicle receive the smoothest finish and highest possible gloss.
At Maaco of Keyport, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come.
Step 3 - Surface Sealer
You may have noticed that some paint jobs just can't seem to hold their shine. This may be from the uneven color and gloss that sometimes comes from mixing old and new paint. Sealer performs the important task of providing a barrier between old and new paint.This allows for even color application and more gloss throughout the paint job.
Maaco of Keyport offers three different grades of sealer. The choice of which grade of sealer to use depends on desired durability and the amount of prep work your vehicle needs. Sealer will help your vehicle keep a shiny finish long after the paint job is done.
Step 4 - Paint Services
Maaco offers three paint packages that are designed to your specific needs and budget concerns.
These packages are our Basic, Preferred and Premium paint jobs. Each of these services take two factors into consideration: Longevity of the paint, including warranty and durability, and the appearance of the paint, including gloss and color match.
A single-stage enamel paint is applied to refresh the appearance of your vehicle. The basic package also includes a one-year warranty. This service will give your vehicle an attractive glossy finish and accurate color match.
Need to keep your paint job at a reasonable price but want better durability?
The Preferred package is for you! It even comes with a three-year warranty. It consists of a single-stage paint application that utilizes urethane. This ingredient resists chipping and is more resilient than enamel finishes.
If you're looking for the best appearance and durability, look no further than our two-stage Premium service.
This package includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of endurance, glossiest finish and best color match. You'll want to show off this paint job for years!
Step 5 - Protection & Finish
After investing in a quality paint job, make sure to take the steps to protect it. AT Maaco, we often apply clear coats after painting to not only protect the fresh paint job, but to also ensure gloss match and an overall seamless repair.
Step 6 - Proper Car Care
Making sure the durability and appearance of your new paint last a long time requires proper car care. Proper maintenance will enable your car to better hold its color and shine and provide protection from the environment.
Try to do the following:
- Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
- Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
- Wash your car regularly.
Remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish by washing your car regularly. Elements such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs can damage your car's finish. We recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Avoid scratching the surface of the paint by using a soft cloth or sponge.
Also make sure to rinse underneath your car to remove salt, dirt, or other chemicals that can cause rusting.
Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you start waxing your vehicle every 3-4 months to protect the new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.
Apply a thin coat of wax to the entire car using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Apply firm pressure and use the same circular motion with a terry cloth towel to wipe the wax off.
