Auto Painting in Berlin, NJ
Step 1 - Body Repair
Concerned about dents or scratches that are diminishing the appearance of your vehicle's paint job?
No need to worry! Our body repair technicians can perform a complete MAACOVER to eliminate any imperfections. Our trusted professionals use a Five-Step Process to make sure your new finish is perfect.
Step 2 - Surface Preparation
What's the importance of surface repair? You know those chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling on your vehicle? If left untreated and exposed to the elements over time, these conditions could ultimately ruin your paint job. Repairing such issues will help your vehicle receive the smoothest finish and highest possible gloss.
At Maaco of Berlin, our estimators examine your vehicle and suggest condition repairs. We offer affordable surface prep options that ensure your MAACOVER looks great. A little surface repair before the paint goes on can ensure it holds that gloss and shine for years to come.
Step 3 - Surface Sealer
Have you ever noticed how some paint jobs fail to hold their shine? It could be a matter of that old paint mixing with the new, creating uneven color and gloss. Sealer plays that all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint. This ensures consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface.
At Maaco of Berlin, we offer three grades of sealer. The right choice is all about durability, and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for your particular vehicle. When it comes to the durability of your vehicle's paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done.
Step 4 - Paint Services
At Maaco of Berlin, we offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.
We apply a single-stage enamel paint to refresh your vehicle's appearance. Our Basic service offers a one-year warranty, and gives your car an attractive gloss and accurate color match.
Need to keep your paint job at a reasonable price but want better durability?
The Preferred package is for you! It even comes with a three-year warranty. It consists of a single-stage paint application that utilizes urethane. This ingredient resists chipping and is more resilient than enamel finishes.
Our two-stage Premium service offers the best look and performance of our three paint packages. It includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of durability, superb color match and a perfect glossy finish.
If you're in need of a variety of services, our platinum package bundles several excellent repairs that provide an excellent paint job. This package includes light chip and scratch repairs, an initial prep with priming and block sanding and a urethane sealer. It also comes with a five-year warranty that protects against gloss fading or peeling.Watch our video

Step 5 - Protection & Finish
A great paint job deserves great protection. We often apply clear coats to our paint jobs to not only protect the paint, but to ensure an accurate gloss match and an overall seamless repair.
Step 6 - Proper Car Care
Making sure the durability and appearance of your new paint last a long time requires proper car care. Proper maintenance will enable your car to better hold its color and shine and provide protection from the environment.
Try to do the following:
- Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
- Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
- Wash your car regularly.
Remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish by washing your car regularly. Elements such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs can damage your car's finish. We recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Avoid scratching the surface of the paint by using a soft cloth or sponge.
Also make sure to rinse underneath your car to remove salt, dirt, or other chemicals that can cause rusting.
Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you start waxing your vehicle every 3-4 months to protect the new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.
Apply a thin coat of wax to the entire car using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Apply firm pressure and use the same circular motion with a terry cloth towel to wipe the wax off.
