Tampa Teacher Receives ‘MAACOver’ For Exceptional Service To Community
October 26, 2020
As teachers adapt to a changing educational environment this year, the last thing they need to worry about is their vehicle. That is why Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting is recognizing Colette Robitaille, a teacher at D.W. Webb Middle School, for her contributions and commitment to the Tampa Bay community by providing a free ‘MAACOver’ to her vehicle.
Robitaille teaches special needs students and pours her heart and soul into helping the children in the Tampa community. Robitaille has taught at D.W. Webb for 19 years and finds the most rewarding part of the job the opportunity to build relationships with her students over the years she teaches them. She regularly attends student games and volunteers her extra time to school activities to raise funds for school programs.
Last winter, Robitaille’s vehicle was damaged and she’s not had the chance to get it repaired. The local Maaco shop is proud to recognize the work Robitaille does for her community by repairing her vehicle free of charge.
“Teaching students this year is definitely more of a challenge than it has been ever before,” said Ivan Montoya, owner of Maaco Tampa, FL. “Our shop has such respect for the work that all teachers do. Colette goes above and beyond for her students and deserves to be treated.”
“I am thrilled to have been nominated and selected to receive the Teacher MAACOver,” said Robitaille. “As a teacher, this year has been uncertain and stressful, but it means the world to me to be appreciated by my community.”
