Houston Teacher Receives ‘MAACOver’ For Exceptional Service to Community
October 26, 2020
As teachers adapt to a changing educational environment this year, the last thing they need to worry about are their cars. That’s why Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting is recognizing Maxie Hollingsworth, a teacher at S.C. Red Elementary School, for her contributions to the Houston community by providing a free ‘MAACOver’ to her vehicle.
Hollingsworth teaches Pre-K through 5th grade math and reading and writing. She shows up every day with purpose and dedication for the school’s students, support staff and fellow teachers. Her goal as an educator is to make learning accessible for all students, and she does this by keeping her library full of fiction books and ensuring her newsletters are translated for students that speak different languages. Hollingsworth works every day to make teaching and learning better for everyone.
Maaco is proud to recognize the work Hollingsworth does for the community by painting her vehicle free of charge, helping give her car the fresh new look that she’s always wanted.
“Maaco knows that teaching students this year is more of a challenge than ever before,” said Kevin Taylor, owner of Maaco Houston, TX. “Our shop has such respect for the work that all teachers do. Maxie goes above and beyond for her students and deserves to be treated.”
“I am thrilled to have been nominated and selected to receive the Teacher MAACOver,” said Hollingsworth. This MAACOver adds a much-needed bright spot to what has understandably been a difficult year and it means the world to me to be appreciated by my community.”
Maaco’s MAACOver effort continues the brand’s longstanding tradition of aiding local communities. As America's #1 auto paint and collision repair provider, Maaco has serviced more than 20 million cars since 1972. Whether it's changing the color of your car or handling your insurance claim, Maaco helps people turn the car you drive back into the car you love.
