Dallas-Fort Worth Body Shop Owner Wins National Industry Recognition
September 21, 2021
Helmuth Mayer, a local business owner of seven body shop facilities, was proudly recognized in the 2021 FenderBender Awards.
Mayer opened his first repair facility just four years ago and has since grown his business to seven locations. A rising star in the collision repair industry, Helmuth’s continuous focus on his team of employees, their repair quality, the customer experience, and the DFW community are what differentiates him amongst his colleagues within the industry.
“Little gestures go a long way, so we accommodate customers whether it’s staying open a little later, investing in a comfortable waiting area, supporting a local charity or taking a moment to explain our paint process,” comments Mayer. “It doesn’t matter if our customer is a busy family or a fleet company, our amazing team works hard to make sure everyone feels confident entrusting their vehicles with us.”
Helmuth Mayer is a local owner and operator of Maaco Burleson, Maaco Fort Worth, Maaco Mesquite, Maaco Dallas, Maaco Wylie, Maaco Plano and Maaco Keller. A trailblazer within the brand, Mayer was also awarded Maaco’s highest recognition in 2020, the North American Syl Young Award.
“As a local business owner, it is an honor to be recognized for our hard work on a national scale,” continues Mayer. “Especially because my job experience is outside of the automotive industry, it only further demonstrates that no matter the field, everything in business comes back to people. The collision repair industry is no different. It isn’t about fixing cars; it’s about helping people.”
Mayer has a diverse background in both the healthcare and entertainment industry. Although he isn’t a born car enthusiast Mayer became a Maaco franchise owner because he was determined to be his own boss. As his sights remain high for future business growth, Mayer continues to stay humble to his roots.
“I am grateful to be supporting the Dallas-Fort Worth community alongside an amazing team of 50 which includes our customer service team, technicians, and highly skilled painters,” says Mayer. “We aim to continue growing our operations while maintaining the high-performance levels that helped us earn this accolade from FenderBender.”
The FenderBender Awards were created to recognize collision repair professionals who are talented, inspirational, and dedicated to improving the industry and helping others. For over a decade, FenderBender has honored top-performing owners with this annual accolade.
