Step 3 - Surface Sealer
Some paint jobs fail to hold their shine, even if it hasn't been that long since they were completed. This may be because of the reaction between old and new paint mixing, which can result in uneven color and gloss. To establish a barrier between the old and new paint, Maaco painters will apply sealer.
We offer three grades of sealer at Maaco of Tulsa. The correct choice factors in durability and the amount of prep work needed for your individual vehicle. Sealers helps keep consistent shine long after the job is complete.
Step 4 - Paint Services
At Maaco of Tulsa, we offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.

Step 6 - Proper Car Care
Taking the proper car care steps can have a major impact on the durability and appearance a new paint job. Proper maintenance will help your car maintain its color and shine and provide protection from the elements.
Use these tips to protect your new paint job:
- Wash your car regularly;
- Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
- Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel.
Make sure to wash your car regularly to remove unwanted contaminants that can damage your finish such as bird droppings, tree sap or bugs. We recommend hand washing your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean to avoid scratching the surface of the paint.
Also use this as an opportunity to rinse the underside of your car to remove impurities that can lead to rusting.
After your paint job is completed, we recommend that you wax your car every 3-4 months to protect your new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax that does not contain abrasive cleaning ingredients like silicone. We recommend Mothers brand wax.
When applying the wax, administer a thin coat of wax using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions. Let the wax to dry completely before removing it. Using a terry cloth towel, apply firm pressure to wipe the wax off using a similar short, circular motion.
