Class A vs. Elective Repairs

  • CLASS A

We can help you handle all of the details if you need to file an insurance claim for your repair work. We will coordinate all of the repairs and we work with every major insurance company. We will also provide you with a detailed repair plan for your unique vehicle.

  • ELECTIVE REPAIRS

If you are paying for repair work yourself, we fully appreciate that cost is a big factor. We will review your initial repair plan and offer some options that will help cut down on cost. We will do this while also ensuring no sacrifice is made to the quality of the repairs.

Removing/Replacing Parts

At Maaco of Charlotte, we know that you are conscious of the cost. Therefore we offer three price levels when it comes to replacement parts. OEM parts are the highest in cost, but come from the original manufacturer of your vehicle, meaning they ultimately provide the best match for your vehicle.

A more cost effective option is Aftermarket. While new, these parts might not necessarily come from your vehicle's manufacturer. Recycled parts are the most cost-efficient. They come from vehicles no longer considered 'road-ready' but still adhere to safety and function standards. So if parts replacement is necessary, three options provide flexibility to help you proceed with confidence.

Spot Painting

Turning the car you drive into the car you love is sometimes as simple as a little touch up. So when your car needs only one or two panels painted, spot painting can often be the best and most cost effective way to go.

We'll target the areas needing repair and make sure adjacent panels are chemically cleaned and block sanded to give a precise and flawless surface for painting. We then use a multiple masking process to ensure an accurate "blending" of the new and old car paint so that the transformation is flawless.

Finishing

At Maaco of Charlotte, we never let dust, dirt or lint get in the way of a flawless paint job. Following any spot painting, we'll perform our standard finishing work. This entails any necessary sanding, buffing and polishing to get rid of any remaining imperfections.

This process begins with wet sanding, which is evenly spread over the surface and then smoothed out. Next, we use a liquid compound to carefully buff the area. The final step of polishing will restore the shine to your paint and clear coat.

Our finishing process ensures any spot painting is complete and perfect.
