Step 1 - Body Repair

Concerned about dents or scratches that are diminishing the appearance of your vehicle's paint job?

No need to worry! Our body repair technicians can perform a complete MAACOVER to eliminate any imperfections. Our trusted professionals use a Five-Step Process to make sure your new finish is perfect.

Step 2 - Surface Preparation

Surface repair is a crucial step in caring for your vehicle.Chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling can ruin your paint job entirely if left untreated. Don't leave these imperfections exposed to the elements for long. Correcting these issues will restore your vehicle's paint job to a smooth and glossy finish.

The professional estimators at Maaco Clearwater will fully inspect your vehicle and recommend any necessary repairs. Our surface prep options are cost-effective and will guarantee your MAACOVER is flawless. Performing surface repairs before the final paint job will ensure that your vehicle maintains a glossy finish for years.

Step 3 - Surface Sealer

Some paint jobs fail to hold their shine, even if it hasn't been that long since they were completed. This may be because of the reaction between old and new paint mixing, which can result in uneven color and gloss. To establish a barrier between the old and new paint, Maaco painters will apply sealer.

We offer three grades of sealer at Maaco of Clearwater. The correct choice factors in durability and the amount of prep work needed for your individual vehicle. Sealers helps keep consistent shine long after the job is complete.

Step 4 - Paint Services

At Maaco of Clearwater, we offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.

Paint Services

Basic #MAACOVER

Our Basic #MAACOVER includes an application of a single-stage enamel paint to revive your vehicle's paint job. This service also includes a one-year warranty, along with a glossy finish and accurate color match.

Preferred #MAACOVER

Need to keep your paint job at a reasonable price but want better durability?

The Preferred package is for you! It even comes with a three-year warranty. It consists of a single-stage paint application that utilizes urethane. This ingredient resists chipping and is more resilient than enamel finishes.

Premium #MAACOVER

Our two-stage Premium service offers the best look and performance of our three paint packages. It includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of durability, superb color match and a perfect glossy finish.

Step 5 - Protection & Finish

After investing in a quality paint job, make sure to take the steps to protect it. AT Maaco, we often apply clear coats after painting to not only protect the fresh paint job, but to also ensure gloss match and an overall seamless repair.

Step 6 - Proper Car Care

Proper car care can have a major impact on the durability and appearance of your new paint. The right maintenance can help your car hold its color and shine, as well as provide protection from the elements.

When possible, try to:

  • Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
  • Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
  • Wash your car regularly.

WASHING:

Washing your car is a great way to remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs. It's recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to avoid scratching the surface of the paint.

Be sure to use this as an opportunity to rinse the undercarriage of your car to remove dirt, salt or other chemicals that promote rust.

WAXING:

Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you wax your car every 3-4 months to protect your new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax, like Mothers, that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.

Apply a thin coat of wax using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions apply it to the entire car. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Using a terry cloth towel, apply firm pressure to wipe the wax off using the same short, circular motion.
