Step 1 - Body Repair

Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job?

No need to worry. As part of your vehicle's MAACOVER, our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches.

Step 2 - Surface Preparation

Surface repair is a crucial step in caring for your vehicle.Chips, scratches, cracks and excessive peeling can ruin your paint job entirely if left untreated. Don't leave these imperfections exposed to the elements for long. Correcting these issues will restore your vehicle's paint job to a smooth and glossy finish.

The professional estimators at Maaco Aurora will fully inspect your vehicle and recommend any necessary repairs. Our surface prep options are cost-effective and will guarantee your MAACOVER is flawless. Performing surface repairs before the final paint job will ensure that your vehicle maintains a glossy finish for years.

Step 3 - Surface Sealer

You may have noticed that some paint jobs just can't seem to hold their shine. This may be from the uneven color and gloss that sometimes comes from mixing old and new paint. Sealer performs the important task of providing a barrier between old and new paint.This allows for even color application and more gloss throughout the paint job.

Maaco of Aurora offers three different grades of sealer. The choice of which grade of sealer to use depends on desired durability and the amount of prep work your vehicle needs. Sealer will help your vehicle keep a shiny finish long after the paint job is done.

Step 4 - Paint Services

The three different paint packages that Maaco of Aurora offers are the Basic, Preferred and Premium packages. Each is tailored to your vehicle's specific needs and your budget. Each service is unique in their degree of longevity and appearance. Longevity of the paint includes warranty/durability and appearance includes gloss, color match and metallic appearance.

Paint Services

Basic #MAACOVER

A single-stage enamel paint is applied to refresh the appearance of your vehicle. The basic package also includes a one-year warranty. This service will give your vehicle an attractive glossy finish and accurate color match.

Preferred #MAACOVER

Want greater durability and a reasonable price?

Maaco's Preferred service will accomplish both and comes with a three-year warranty. The package entails a single-stage paint application that uses urethane, which helps prevent chipping and provides more resiliency than enamel paint.

Premium #MAACOVER

Our two-stage Premium service offers the best look and performance of our three paint packages. It includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of durability, superb color match and a perfect glossy finish.

Step 5 - Protection & Finish

After investing in a quality paint job, make sure to take the steps to protect it. AT Maaco, we often apply clear coats after painting to not only protect the fresh paint job, but to also ensure gloss match and an overall seamless repair.

Step 6 - Proper Car Care

Proper car care can have a major impact on the durability and appearance of your new paint. The right maintenance can help your car hold its color and shine, as well as provide protection from the elements.

When possible, try to:

  • Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
  • Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
  • Wash your car regularly.

WASHING:

Washing your car is a great way to remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs. It's recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Use a soft cloth or sponge to avoid scratching the surface of the paint.

Be sure to use this as an opportunity to rinse the undercarriage of your car to remove dirt, salt or other chemicals that promote rust.

WAXING:

Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you wax your car every 3-4 months to protect your new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax, like Mothers, that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.

Apply a thin coat of wax using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions apply it to the entire car. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Using a terry cloth towel, apply firm pressure to wipe the wax off using the same short, circular motion.
