Step 1 - Body Repair
Worried about those small dents and unsightly scratches ruining your paint job?
No need to worry. As part of your vehicle's MAACOVER, our body repair technicians have mastered the method of eliminating those blemishes down to a Five-Step Process to ensure that your finish is free from those small dents and unsightly scratches.
Step 2 - Surface Preparation
Don't overlook the importance of surface repairs. Notice any cracks, scratches, chips or excessive peeling on your vehicle? If you leave these imperfections exposed to the elements without treating, your paint job could seriously suffer. Make sure you repair these issues as soon as possible to give your vehicle a paint job with the smoothest and glossiest finish possible.
The trusted estimators at Maaco Lancaster, will examine your vehicle and recommend condition repairs. Our surface prep options are affordable and will ensure your MAACOVER looks amazing. Repairing any surface issues before painting will allow the paint job to maintain a shiny finish for a long time.
Step 3 - Surface Sealer
Have you ever noticed how some paint jobs fail to hold their shine? It could be a matter of that old paint mixing with the new, creating uneven color and gloss. Sealer plays that all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint. This ensures consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface.
At Maaco of Lancaster, we offer three grades of sealer. The right choice is all about durability, and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for your particular vehicle. When it comes to the durability of your vehicle's paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done.
Step 4 - Paint Services
At Maaco of Lancaster, we offer three paint packages tailored to your specific needs and budget concerns: Basic, Preferred and Premium. What makes each of the three services unique all comes down to two factors: Longevity of the paint, which includes warranty/durability, and the appearance of the paint, which includes gloss, color match, and metallic appearance.
Our Basic #MAACOVER includes an application of a single-stage enamel paint to revive your vehicle's paint job. This service also includes a one-year warranty, along with a glossy finish and accurate color match.
Looking for greater durability, but need to stay at an affordable price?
Our Preferred service is your best bet and comes with a three-year warranty. This single-stage application uses urethane, which resists chipping and is much more resilient than enamel finishes.
If you're looking for the best appearance and durability, look no further than our two-stage Premium service.
This package includes a five-year warranty and provides the highest level of endurance, glossiest finish and best color match. You'll want to show off this paint job for years!
The platinum package is a bundled package of several incredible services that will ensure a superb paint job. Included is light chip & scratch repair, priming and block sanding of all areas after initial prep service and urethane sealer. We offer a five-year warranty against fade of gloss and peeling.Watch our video

Step 5 - Protection & Finish
A new paint job warrants proper protection. At Maaco, clear coats are often applied after painting to protect the paint. This final step also ensures an accurate gloss match and provides a seamless repair.
Step 6 - Proper Car Care
Making sure the durability and appearance of your new paint last a long time requires proper car care. Proper maintenance will enable your car to better hold its color and shine and provide protection from the environment.
Try to do the following:
- Avoid driving on sand, salt or loose gravel;
- Park in the shade, but avoid trees;
- Wash your car regularly.
Remove unwanted contaminants that may be damaging your finish by washing your car regularly. Elements such as tree sap, bird droppings or bugs can damage your car's finish. We recommended that you hand wash your car twice a month with mild automotive detergent. Avoid scratching the surface of the paint by using a soft cloth or sponge.
Also make sure to rinse underneath your car to remove salt, dirt, or other chemicals that can cause rusting.
Four to six weeks following your paint job, we recommend that you start waxing your vehicle every 3-4 months to protect the new finish. Make sure to use an automotive wax that does not contain abrasive cleaning agents, such as silicone.
Apply a thin coat of wax to the entire car using the provided applicator and with short, circular motions. Allow the wax to dry completely before removing it. Apply firm pressure and use the same circular motion with a terry cloth towel to wipe the wax off.
